Giving With Hope began long before there was a Cottage.
You and Me Against the World.
It began with a mother, a daughter and a desire to make sure a young woman knew she was never alone.
Years ago, the original HOPE Program was created as my daughter was navigating middle school. As a mother, I wanted to give her - and other young women - a place where they could feel supported, empowered and reminded of their worth.
What began as something deeply personal grew into years of giving back, serving others, and creating opportunities to bring a little hope into people's lives.
Life Has a Way of Changing Us.
Over the years, I experienced my own seasons of loss, change, heartbreak, illness, rebuilding and beginning again. And through each season, I learned something that would eventually become the heart of Giving With Hope. Beginnings are scary. Endings are usually sad. But it's the middle that counts the most.
Sometimes people don't need to be fixed. They simply need a place where they can breathe.
Hope Found Me.
Giving With Hope is named in honor and memory of Hope Bailey, a beautiful young woman whose life and legacy continue to inspire this work.
Hope loved deeply. She loved her family, her country, horses and helping others. Her life reminds us that our impact isn't measured only by how long we are here, but by the love and hope we leave behind. And so, Giving With Hope was created to honor all - the beginnings, the endings and especially everything that happens in between.
And Then We Found a Little Cottage.
At 431 Main Street in Harleysville, Giving With Hope has found a home.
Giving With Hope Cottage was never meant to be just an office or a building. It was created to feel different.
A woman can walk through our door for a workshop or gathering. She can come to learn something new or meet someone new. She can also come simply because she needs a quiet moment.
She can bring her coffee. Read a book. Sit in a rocking chair. Meditate. Laugh. Talk. Be quiet. Or simply breathe.

Hope's Haven creates connection, experiences, and a welcoming space for women navigating the many changing seasons in the middle of life.
Hope United brings people and generations together through service, community, awareness, and the shared belief that hope becomes even more powerful when we give it to someone else.
